Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how HBCU.bio collects, uses, and shares information when you use our digital profile, NFC card, and creator tools.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you create or manage a HBCU.bio profile, place an order, contact us, or use our services. This can include your name, email address, profile details, links, uploaded images, and shipping information.
When someone submits your profile contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and message they choose to share. That information is made available to the profile owner.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve HBCU.bio, create and display creator profiles, process card orders, provide support, prevent fraud or misuse, and communicate important service updates.
We may use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand how the service is used and improve it.
Location and school information
If you choose to share your country, state, town, or school, we use it to organize the community, show relevant campus content, and help our admin team moderate and support members. School and general location may appear on your public profile and Vibes.
Vibes videos
Videos you upload to HBCU Vibes are processed and hosted by our video provider and reviewed by our team before they appear publicly. We also store likes, comments, shares, follows, and reports to run the feed and keep it safe.
Age requirement
HBCU.bio is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support and we will remove it.
Payments and orders
Payments are processed by Stripe. HBCU.bio does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy.
We use order and shipping information to fulfill NFC card purchases and communicate about those orders.
Sharing information
Your public profile content is visible to anyone who visits your profile. Profile owners are responsible for the content and links they choose to publish.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate HBCU.bio, including payment processing, hosting, storage, and order fulfillment. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Your choices
You can update or remove profile information from your account. You can also pause a profile or set it to private when those settings are available.
If you have questions about your information or wish to request access, correction, or deletion, please contact HBCU.bio support.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date below.
